Chapter Fourteen: The Escape


“Can you move any faster?” the annoyed eighteen year old asked in a miffed tone, but in a calm and nice manner.

“If I could walk without feeling pangs of pure pain in my chest; sure.” He grumbled, glaring down at her since he was much, much taller than her.

“…Bleh; no need to be a smart ass.”

“Watch it. I’ll gladly tan your hind end again.” He hissed through gritted teeth.

“Urusai! You just caught me off guard, that’s all! I’d like to see you try again, damn it!” she growled.

“BITE ME!”

“Mhm.”

“What?” glancing down, she looked puzzled. What was he looking at? “Hey, nani—OI, OI!  LET GO, LET GO!” she squealed as an iron grip grabbed her fiercely, and yanked her up.

“Your ass..” he glared, “..Is going to be redder than my Sharingan when I’m done with you.”

“…e-eh?”

“…now that you mention it, Uchiha, if memory serves me correctly, my ass wasn’t as red as your Sharingan!”

“…would you like that to happen?”

“…no.” She grumbled as both walked beside each other; Kerushii keeping a safe distance from the Uchiha and her ass. “So…where are we going? Are we just going to keep wandering aimlessly?”

“No.” he replied, and glanced up. “There’s a lake nearby; we’ll take shelter there for now. This should be far enough away.

The young Uchiha was right, a small, clear lake came into view and a large waterfall could be seen along with it. “…we should probably go into a cave or something, where it’s dark.” Kerushii glanced to him, and she earned a simple nod.

After a few minutes or two, the two had taken refuge in a small cave located in the back of the waterfall. It was nice and cool, a little dark, but yet, comforting. “…what now? We just are going to sit here?”

“Do you ever stop complaining?” Sasuke grumbled, and rubbed his temples. “I’m tired, let’s just rest for now.”

“Jeesh, sorry, I’m impatient…” her sweat dropped and she looked away as the Uchiha laid down in his small futon.  She wasn’t tired; now would she be for a while.
