Welcome to Fatherhood: Ch.2

Chapter 2:  Missions and the Uzumaki's

"Dad, I'm going out!" Arisu sang out, following by the slamming of the door. Wiping his hands, the Uchiha father walked into the living room, Kimiko waiting for him. "Dad, come on! You said we could go to the park today!" she whined excitedly, pulling on his hand.

"A-Ah, I forgot about that, dear." He replied, chuckling somewhat as he pulled her down the hall. "Let's get you ready then, huh?" he ushered his youngest daughter into her room. "I'll be in a second, why don't you pick out your outfit for me?" She nodded, and closed the door. Turning, he walked down to the bathroom, leaning against the door frame as he watched his eldest son put on his make-up. Yes, make-up. "I don't see the point in your excessive piercings." He mumbled, watching him as his son turned to glare.

"Don't make fun of me, Dad. We've been over this." He snorted. The guy had a nose ring, his ears were pierced numerous times, and his tongue had been pierced as well. He wore eyeliner, and wore his hair down, it almost as long as his fathers. Studs, dark clothing…

"Whatever makes you happy."  Sasuke replied, blinking. Naoki was dark. He liked dark things, wore dark things. In all bluntness, he was a pessimistic, down-trodden kid. "Are you going to do anything productive today?"

"Nope." He replied, slipping on his studded belt. "Would you like to come to the park with me and Kimiko?"

"No." he replied, flipping off the light. "Not at all." Sasuke stared at him-he didn't like this side of his son, nor had he liked it for quite some time, but as long as he wasn't getting into drugs, or anything of the sort…he could let it slide, for the time being.

Sighing, Sasuke went back to his youngest, and got her dressed and ready as they headed out for the park.

"Ne, ne! Dad, look, it's Hana and Tomiki! And Mr. Uzumaki too!" Kimiko shrieked, suddenly slipping away from her father's grasp as she ran for the two Uzumaki twins, both overjoyed to see each other.

"Hey, Sasuke!"  Naruto called, ushering him over. Ah, Naruto. He hadn't changed at all. Smirking, he walked over to him, hands in his pockets. "They seem quite happy to see each other, huh?" he laughed, looking to the two Uzumaki's. "They look rambunctious. You didn't put anything in their ramen, did you?" he laughed

"A-ah! No-no, of course not!" Naruto laughed nervously, scratching his head as Sasuke laughed as well. "Mhm.." he mumbled as both took a seat on the park bench.

"How's Hinata?" he asked, and Naruto grinned. "Fine." He replied. " Takeshi went out with a few friends and Yuomoto is off on a mission."

"Ah? Arisu did as well. That's odd."

"Hah! Sasuke, you worry too much. Takeshi only hangs out with guys." He slapped his buddy's shoulder, and Sasuke cracked a smile. "Well, how's Arisu and Naoki?" Naruto inquired.

"Teenagers." He laughed, crossing his arms, watching as the three little nin played together. "And quite a handful too. Naoki has me wondering about his welfare often now…that boy." He sighed. "But I can only live with it."

"Ne.." Naruto replied. "Hey, I've been meaning to tell you." He turned to him, looking seriously for the moment. "I've heard from the Anbu, that an outer village is planning to attack. We'll need some ninja as back up just in case. I told them that you'd be on dispatch."

Sasuke looked to him, rubbing under his nose. "Naruto, you know I can't be away from home, leaving the kids and all."

"Sasuke, I know." Naruto sighed. "But you're one of the strongest we have, and we need you. And that's an order." He replied.

Sasuke frowned slightly. "Sure thing, I got it. I'll pack tonight." Since Naruto had become Hokage, things had been quite settle, but when they popped up, they turned serious, fast. Thus meaning he'd be out on missions.

As the sun began to set, both looked up.

"Come on kids, it's time to go."
